About

Louisa is a food relationship coach on eating disorder recovery teams. Louisa’s counseling is grounded in trauma informed, clinical nutritional. She brings a verve for life, food, and humor into her work to create a space of radical self compassion for her clients to question absolutes and explore their own body’s intrinsic answer to the eternal question, “what is the right way to eat?”

Origin

A rule follower from the start, Louisa Borecki was born on a happy farm in Southern Oregon where she grew up playing with earthworms and fairies. A painter and food enthusiast at heart, Louisa sought to please the world around her by following the guidelines informed by the society around her. Be small, stay pleasant, eat the right foods in the right amounts and acceptance and happiness will be yours. After college Louisa felt a nagging incongruence with the ideal hipster she had shaped herself to be, and a greater calling to embody her authentic self.

The Art Body Connection

She completed her Masters of Science in Nutrition from the National University of Medicine specializing in metabolic health and food trauma.

Louisa now works as a nutritionist under Dr. Samara Stevens, ND at Holistic Mental Health in Portland, Oregon. In her free time, Louisa can be found confusing her paint water with mugs of tea. Her artwork can be found hanging at bars and coffeeshops in the PNW.
